2026 Fujino Engei Land (藤野園芸ランド) Harvest-Picking One-Day Course

Spend a day digging and gathering autumn's harvest to take home at Fujino Engei Land (藤野園芸ランド), a sightseeing farm spread across the Nagura area (名倉地区) of Fujino, Midori Ward, Sagamihara City (相模原市緑区). Run jointly by local farmers in the area, the farm offers sweet potato digging from around September to mid-November, chestnut gathering from around September to October, mountain yam digging from around September through late April of the following year, and mushrooms such as shiitake year-round. The experience itself is free, with a simple system of paying only for the amount you harvest, a plus for families (since prices per item are not officially published, please check on the day). Parking and restrooms are also available. In the morning, check the map and local specialty products at the Fujino Tourist Information Center, Fujinone (ふじのね), in front of Fujino Station, then cross the Sagami River (相模川) to the satoyama farm. It is a day of autumn abundance that feels distinctly Fujino, surrounded by the scent of earth and forest.
