2026 Suganuma-en (菅沼園) Harvest-Picking One-Day Course
Spend a day harvesting the fruits of late summer into autumn at Suganuma-en (菅沼園) in Midori Ward (緑区), Yokohama City. According to Yokohama City's farm-experience information, the season generally runs from mid-August to late November. The crops change over time: grapes from mid-August to early September, pears from late August to mid-September, chestnuts from mid-September to late September, and persimmons from mid-October to late November. Admission is free, with a pay-by-weight system: pears at 900 yen/kg, grapes at 1,500-1,700 yen/kg, chestnuts at 1,200 yen/kg, and persimmons at 800 yen/kg. Parking and restrooms are available, so families with children can visit with peace of mind. In the morning, enjoy plenty of play at Shiki no Mori Park (四季の森公園) near Nakayama Station, then head to the farm in the afternoon. Since the crops available on any given day depend on growing conditions, checking in advance is recommended.
