2026 Full-Day Cool Stroll Course: Lake Shiroyama (Honzawa Dam)
This is a cool water-side stroll through Midori Ward, Sagamihara City, crossing two lakes. The highlight, Lake Shiroyama, is an unusual artificial lake created on a mountain by the Honzawa Dam. It is a quiet lake surrounded by green ridges, and thanks to the breeze crossing the water and the shade of the surrounding woods, you can walk comfortably even on hot afternoons. The lake gate is open from 9:00 to 16:30, and there is a parking lot. In the morning, visit Tsukui-ko Shiroyama Prefectural Park at the foot of the mountain. The Flower Garden Area and Water Garden Area, overlooking Lake Tsukui, are free to enter, letting you leisurely enjoy the seasonal flowers and lake views. With global warming keeping September and October hot these days, this course links tree shade and water's edge so families can feel cool without strain.
