2026 Kobo-yama Park (弘法山公園) Cool Stroll: A Full-Day Course
This is a day to enjoy the cool breeze crossing the shaded ridge trails of Kobo-yama Park (弘法山公園), a community-style hill park in Hadano City. Made up of three hills — Mt. Sengen (浅間山), Mt. Gongen (権現山), and Mt. Kobo (弘法山) — the park is linked by gentle, tree-covered ridge paths and is well loved as an ideal spot for beginner hikers. From the observation deck on Mt. Gongen (権現山), you can take in the Tanzawa (丹沢) mountain range and the town of Hadano; the breeze crossing the ridge feels pleasant, making it well suited to a hill walk even in September or October, when the heat now lingers due to global warming. Parking and restrooms are available. In the morning, stop by Hadano Jibasanzu (はだのじばさんず), a JA direct-sales store near Hadano Station (秦野駅) with fresh local vegetables and fruit, to pick up some snacks, then spend the afternoon enjoying the coolness of the shaded ridge trails and views.
