2026 Mount Jinba (陣馬山) Cool Stroll: A Full-Day Course

Spend a day cooling off in the breeze crossing the 855-meter ridge of Mount Jinba (陣馬山) in Sagamihara City's Midori Ward (相模原市緑区). Mount Jinba is a hiking mountain you can enjoy year-round, with most of the trail shaded by trees, and even in September and October, when the heat lingers, cool air flows through the forest. The summit is an open grassy area symbolized by a statue of a white horse, offering a sweeping panorama toward Mount Fuji (富士山), the Tanzawa mountains (丹沢), and the Kanto Plain (関東平野), along with an unobstructed cool breeze across your whole body. The starting point is JR Fujino Station (藤野駅). Check the hiking map and local specialty products at the Fujino Tourist Information Center, Fujinone (ふじのね), in front of the station before you start climbing. Parking and restrooms are also available around the trailhead. The more the family sweats, the better the ridge breeze feels on this course.
