2026 Full-Day Course: A Cool Stroll Around Lake Shinsei (震生湖)
Spend a day cooling off by the shaded waterside of Lake Shinsei (震生湖), a lake resting quietly on a hilltop in Hadano City. Lake Shinsei is a natural lake formed by the Great Kanto Earthquake, surrounded by deep woods, and even in midsummer the lakeside stays wrapped in shade and gentle waterside air. Even in September and October, when the heat lingers, the green-covered lakeside paths remain cool and easy to walk. In the morning, visit Izumo Taisha Sagami Bunshi (出雲大社相模分祠), affectionately known as ‘Kanto's Izumo-san’, then check out Hadano's fresh vegetables at JA Direct Sales Store Jibasanzu (じばさんず). In the hot afternoon hours, enjoy a quiet stroll along the shore of Lake Shinsei. The lake can be visited year-round and parking is available. Due to reconstruction work on the Taiko Bridge (太鼓橋), parts of the walking trail and parking area are restricted, so please check Hadano City's official website for the latest information.
