2026 Sankeien Garden (三溪園): Full-Day Course

A day spent thoroughly savoring Sankeien Garden (三溪園), one of Yokohama's leading Japanese gardens. It is open 9:00-17:00 (last entry 30 minutes before closing), closed only December 26-31. Admission is 900 yen for adults (high school age and up), 200 yen for elementary and junior high school students, and 700 yen for Yokohama residents aged 65 and over. The spacious grounds are laced with ponds and paths, dotted with historic buildings including a three-story pagoda on a hill. In the morning, walk through Yamashita Park (山下公園) with its harbor views, then have lunch in Yokohama Chinatown (横浜中華街) at midday. In the afternoon, move on to Sankeien Garden and spend a leisurely stretch of quiet garden time walking the pondside and wooded paths with your children.
