2026 Odawara Castle Ruins Park (小田原城址公園) Garden Stroll: A Full-Day Course

This course lets you fully enjoy a castle day at Odawara Castle Ruins Park (小田原城址公園), an easy walk from Odawara Station (小田原駅). The park itself is open to enter freely at no charge. The castle keep (天守閣) is open 9:00-17:00 (last entry 16:30); admission is 1,000 yen for adults (high school age and up) and 300 yen for elementary/junior high students, which includes entry to the Tokiwagi-mon SAMURAI Museum (常盤木門SAMURAI館). There is also the NINJA Museum (NINJA館), where kids can try a ninja experience (500 yen for adults, 200 yen for elementary/junior high students), so the castle keeps children entertained throughout. In the morning, head to MINAKA Odawara (ミナカ小田原), a complex directly connected to the station. At the 14th-floor Observation Foot Bath Garden (展望足湯庭園, free, 10:00-20:00), soaking your feet while looking out at the sea and the castle is the perfect way to start the trip. In the afternoon, make your way from the moat-side path to the castle keep, and the view of Sagami Bay from the top floor is the perfect way to close out your day in Odawara.
