2026 Oba Castle Ruins Park (大庭城址公園) Garden Stroll: A Full-Day Course
This is a day for the whole family to explore the remains of a medieval castle at Oba Castle Ruins Park (大庭城址公園), spread across a hill along the Hikichi River in Fujisawa City. The park is always open and free to enter; the hilltop has wide lawns and groves of trees, and the grounds retain traces of the castle such as its dry moats and earthen ramparts. In the morning, enjoy the roller slide and other play equipment plus the lawn plaza at Hikichigawa Waterfront Park (引地川親水公園) at the foot of the hill, and observe waterside creatures at the Wetland Botanical Garden (湿性植物園). In the afternoon, climb the hill to Oba Castle Ruins Park. Walking along while saying 《This is where the castle used to be》 turns an ordinary hill into a stage for adventure. With a parking lot and restrooms available, this is a course you can enjoy with peace of mind even with small children.
