2026 Full-Day Course: Yama-no-Hotel Garden (山のホテル・庭園)

This course lets you unwind at the garden of Yama-no-Hotel (山のホテル), standing by Lake Ashi (芦ノ湖) in Motohakone, as a relaxing finish to the day. The garden is open to the public from 9:00 to 16:00 (last entry). During the Azalea and Rhododendron Fair (つつじ・しゃくなげフェア), typically held from late April to mid-May, the hillside is known for being covered in blossoms, and garden admission is free during the fair. With views over Lake Ashi and the Hakone mountains, the garden is a lovely spot for a lakeside walk outside the flower season too. In the morning, explore the lakeside at Motohakone Port and Hakone Shrine; in the afternoon, relax in the garden. It is a day for the whole family to take a deep breath of Hakone's clear air.
