2026 Negishi Natsukashi Park (Former Yagishita Residence) Garden Stroll: A Full Day Course

Spend a day slowly savoring the residence and garden that still carry the atmosphere of the Taisho era, at Negishi Natsukashi Park (Former Yagishita Residence) (根岸なつかし公園 旧柳下邸) in Isogo Ward, Yokohama. The former Yagishita residence, home of a Yokohama merchant family, has a Japanese-style house and a Western-style house standing side by side, and admission to both the park and the residence is free. The park is open 9:00-17:00, and the residence 9:30-16:00 (closed on the second and fourth Tuesdays, the following day if that falls on a public holiday, and from December 29 to January 3). In the morning, climb the slope from Negishi Station (根岸駅) to Negishi Forest Park (根岸森林公園). Move freely on the large lawn spread over the site of Japan's first Western-style racecourse, then visit the former Yagishita residence in the afternoon.
