2026 Full-Day Garden Stroll Course at Jomyo-ji Temple (浄妙寺)

A quiet day enjoying matcha while gazing at the garden at Jomyo-ji Temple (浄妙寺), an ancient temple ranked fifth among the Kamakura Five Mountains (鎌倉五山). Visiting hours are 9:00 to 16:30, with admission of 100 yen for adults and 50 yen for elementary school students. At the tea house Kisen-an (喜泉庵) beside the main hall, you can enjoy matcha and dry sweets (660 yen) while overlooking the dry-landscape (karesansui) garden. The plan is to walk through the famous Bamboo Garden at nearby Hokoku-ji (報国寺) in the morning, then unwind over the garden and matcha at Jomyo-ji Temple in the afternoon. This is a relaxed temple-hopping course in the Kanazawa Kaido (金沢街道) area, easily reached by bus from Kamakura Station (鎌倉駅).
