2026 Full-Day Course: A Garden Stroll Through Ishigakiyama Ichiya-jo Historical Park (石垣山一夜城歴史公園)
This is a day spent exploring Ishigakiyama Ichiya-jo Historical Park (石垣山一夜城歴史公園), built on the site of the 《Ichiya-jo (One-Night Castle)》 that Toyotomi Hideyoshi constructed as his headquarters during the siege of Odawara. Stone walls from that era still remain within the hilltop park, and the grassy plaza offers a sweeping view of the town of Odawara and Sagami Bay. With a parking lot and restrooms on site, it is reassuring for families with children. The climb up the slope from the Hayakawa area at the foot of the hill is also enjoyable, with mandarin orange orchards and ocean views along the way. At the park entrance stands Ichiyajo Yoroizuka Farm (一夜城 ヨロイヅカ・ファーム), run by patissier Toshihiko Yoroizuka, where you can pick up freshly baked bread and sweets (closed Tuesdays and Wednesdays). It is an autumn stroll in Odawara where you can savor history and spectacular scenery all in one visit.
