2026 Full-Day Course: A Garden Stroll Through Hakone Kowakien Horai-en (箱根小涌園 蓬莱園)

This is a day spent leisurely enjoying a mountain garden at Hakone Kowakien Horai-en (箱根小涌園 蓬莱園) in Kowakidani, Hakone. Horai-en is a garden that is always open for free wandering and viewing (access to the camping area is restricted). Paths surrounded by trees continue throughout the grounds, letting you walk at your family's own pace while feeling the mountain air of Hakone. Also worth visiting is 《Sensuji Falls (千条の滝)》, reachable on foot. It is a beautiful waterfall where water cascades down about 12 meters of rock face in many bamboo-blind-like strands, and you can rest on a bench in the plaza in front of the falls. Starting from Kowakidani Station (小涌谷駅) on the Hakone Tozan Railway, this is a quiet Hakone stroll taking in the waterfall and the garden at a relaxed pace.
