2026 Hayama Shiosai Park (葉山しおさい公園) Garden Walk: A Full-Day Course
A day spent enjoying the quiet, Japanese-style spaces of《Hayama Shiosai Park (葉山しおさい公園)》in Hayama, a town of sea and gardens. Shiosai Park was opened on the former site of the Hayama Imperial Villa Annex (葉山御用邸付属邸), and features a Japanese garden and tea house, along with the Hayama Shiosai Museum (葉山しおさい博物館), which displays Emperor Showa's (昭和天皇) marine life collection. It is open 8:30-17:00 (last entry 16:30); admission is 300 yen for high school students and up, 150 yen for elementary and junior high school students, and free for preschoolers. In the morning, pay your respects at Morito Shrine (森戸神社), associated with Minamoto no Yoritomo (源頼朝), walk along the shore, and pass by Isshiki Beach (一色海岸) in front of the Imperial Villa; in the afternoon, relax in the garden at Shiosai Park. A quintessential Hayama day wrapped in sea breezes and the green of pine trees.
