2026 Kurihama Flower Park: Summit Observatory Night View Full-Day Course
This is a day for the whole family to enjoy the night view of the town of Kurihama and Tokyo Bay from the summit observatory of Kurihama Flower Park (くりはま花の国), known as a hill of flowers. The park is open 24 hours a day with no closed days, and admission is free (only the paid facilities are closed on Mondays and during the New Year holidays). Parking is 630 yen per visit for a regular car; Parking Lot 1 is open 8:00-17:00 and Parking Lot 2 is open 5:30-20:30. In the early afternoon, touch on the history of the arrival of the Black Ships at Perry Park (ペリー公園) and the Perry Memorial Hall (ペリー記念館, free admission), fitting for Kurihama as the site where Perry landed, then take a leisurely climb up the hill at Flower Park from evening. If you reach the summit observatory before sunset, the highlight is watching the sky change from a fiery red glow to city lights coming on. The park paths get dark on the way back, so bring a flashlight and walk down slowly holding your child's hand. Autumn nights get cold, so don't forget to dress warmly.
