This is a day for the whole family to enjoy the night view of Yokohama Port at Cup Noodles Museum Park (カップヌードルミュージアムパーク), a grassy park spread along the waterfront in the Minato Mirai / Shinko district. The park is open all day, and beyond the gentle grassy hill Yokohama Port opens up; after sunset, the lights of passing ships and the lights of the opposite shore reflect on the water. In the early afternoon, visit the adjacent Cup Noodles Museum Yokohama (カップヌードルミュージアム 横浜). Admission is 500 yen for adults (university students and older), free for high school students and younger, and it's open 10:00-18:00 (last admission 17:00, closed Tuesdays). It offers experiences that kids love, such as making a one-of-a-kind original Cup Noodles. In the evening, move to the park, where the highlight is the port's transition from evening view to night view. The seaside is cold and windy in autumn, so don't forget a jacket, and choose well-lit paths on the way back while holding your child's hand.
