2026 Full-Day Course: Night View from the Hill with a Harbor View at Tsukayama Park (塚山公園)
Spend a day enjoying the night view of Yokosuka Harbor (横須賀港) with your family from the Hill with a Harbor View in the prefectural Tsukayama Park (塚山公園), a place associated with Miura Anjin (三浦按針). From this hilltop park you can take in the whole of Yokosuka Harbor and Nagaura Harbor (長浦港), and after sunset a view unique to Yokosuka awaits, with the harbor lights and the lights of the moored naval vessels spreading out below. In the early afternoon, head to Verny Park (ヴェルニー公園) at the water's edge at the foot of the hill (open 24 hours, free admission). From the seaside boardwalk, take a close look at the vessels and soak up the atmosphere of this port town. In the evening, climb the slope from the area around Keikyu Anjinzuka Station (京急安針塚駅) up to Tsukayama Park. If you arrive at the Hill with a Harbor View before sunset, the shift from evening view to night view will be the highlight. There are restrooms inside the park. The hillside park has few streetlights and gets dark at night, so be sure to bring a flashlight, watch your footing on the way down, and hold your children's hands. Don't forget to dress warmly, either.
