2026 Night Views from Kawasaki Marien Observation Room (川崎マリエン展望室): A Full-Day Course
This is a day for the whole family to enjoy the night view of the Keihin Industrial Zone (京浜工業地帯) from the 10th-floor observation room of Kawasaki Marien (川崎マリエン), the Kawasaki City Port and Harbor Promotion Hall (川崎市港湾振興会館) and symbolic tower of Kawasaki Port (川崎港). The observation room is open 9:00-21:00 (last entry 20:30), free of charge (parking is paid), and closed December 29-January 3 as well as on occasional temporary closure days. It offers a 360-degree view through glass, taking in the factory lights, Tokyo Bay (東京湾), and, on clear days, even the city lights on the far shore. In the early afternoon, take a stroll along the artificial beach 《Kawasaki no Hama》(かわさきの浜) in Higashi Park (東公園) on the same Higashi-Ogishima (東扇島), watch the anglers at Nishi Park (西公園), and then head to Marien (マリエン) in the evening. The highlight is watching the orange lights gradually come on across the industrial zone as the sun sets. Since the observation room is indoors, it is comfortable even on cold or windy days. There are few people around at night on the island, so traveling by car is convenient.
