Spend a day enjoying the factory night view across the canal at Higashiogishima West Park (東扇島西公園) in Kawasaki, a spot well known for fishing. In the early afternoon, have lunch and pick up supplies at LAZONA Kawasaki Plaza (ラゾーナ川崎プラザ), directly connected to Kawasaki Station, then cross over to the island and head to Kawasaki Marien (川崎マリエン). The observation deck, 51 meters above ground, is free to enter, so take in the full view of Kawasaki Port while it is still light. In the evening, move on to Higashiogishima West Park and take a leisurely stroll along the promenade beside the quay. Once the sun sets, the lights of the factories across the water reflect on the canal, creating a powerful night view typical of the Keihin Industrial Zone. The park is free to enter and open 24 hours; parking is also paid (from 200 yen for under 3 hours up to 800 yen for 8 hours or more for standard cars) and can be used with no time restrictions (though parking for 3 or more consecutive days is not allowed).
