2026 Full-Day Course: Night Views from the Observation Deck (Negoya Area) at Tsukui-ko Shiroyama Prefectural Park

This is a day at Tsukui-ko Shiroyama Prefectural Park (津久井湖城山公園), spread along the shore of Lake Tsukui, enjoying everything from an afternoon lakeside stroll to dusk and nighttime views. Begin by relaxing at the Flower Garden Area (花の苑地), home to the Tsukui-ko Memorial Hall (津久井湖記念館), while taking in the lake view, then check out local vegetables and souvenirs at the Tsukui-ko Tourist Center (津久井湖観光センター). In the evening, move to the Negoya area (根小屋地区) and wait at the observation deck for the moment when Lake Tsukui and the town among the mountains light up. The view of gathering lights around the lake as the sun sets is a quiet reward unique to a mountain park. The parking lot in the Negoya area is open from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM (closing at 7:00 PM), so after enjoying the night view, be sure to head back with plenty of time before closing. The Park Center is closed on the first and third Mondays (or the following day if that Monday is a holiday) and during the New Year holidays. Mountain air turns cold on autumn evenings, so don't forget a jacket.
