2026 Full-Day Course: Night Views from the Watchtower at Ishigakiyama Ichiya-jo Historical Park

This is a day enjoying dusk-to-night views overlooking Sagami Bay (相模湾) and the town of Odawara (小田原) from Mt. Ishigakiyama (石垣山), famed for the legend of Toyotomi Hideyoshi's Ichiya-jo (Overnight Castle). In the early afternoon, savor seafood at Gyoko no Eki TOTOCO Odawara (漁港の駅TOTOCO小田原) at the foot of the mountain in Hayakawa Fishing Port (早川漁港), then have sweets or bread as a snack at Ichiya-jo Yoroizuka Farm (一夜城ヨロイヅカファーム) partway up the mountain. In the evening, head up to Ishigakiyama Ichiya-jo Historical Park (石垣山一夜城歴史公園) to watch Sagami Bay glow with the setting sun and the town of Odawara light up after sunset, from the watchtower. Watching the night view in a park where Sengoku-period stone walls still remain is a special moment filled with historical romance. The park's restrooms are open from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, so use them before enjoying the night view. There are few streetlights in the park and it gets dark underfoot, so it is reassuring to bring a light and hold hands with children while walking. Yoroizuka Farm is closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
