2026 Full-Day Garden Stroll Course at Sagamihara Park (県立相模原公園)

This course lets you enjoy a full day of garden scenery at Sagamihara Park (県立相模原公園), a theme park of water, greenery, and flowers. Admission is free and open to all (excluding paid areas). The Green House (グリーンハウス) inside the park is open from 9:30 to 16:30 (last entry 16:00), and the Tropical Garden and Cactus Garden cost 100 yen for adults and are free for junior high school students and younger. The French-style garden, with the dawn redwood avenue (メタセコイア並木) as its axis, is the park's finest sight, where seasonal flowerbeds and fountains come together. In the morning, walk from Haratomo Station (原当麻駅) on the JR Sagami Line (JR相模線) to Muryokoji Temple (無量光寺), an old temple linked to Priest Ippen (一遍上人), and savor its tree-lined approach and quiet grounds; in the afternoon, take your time exploring the garden and greenhouse at Sagamihara Park. This course is built around a walk through two contrasting gardens — one Japanese, one Western.
