2026 Hakone Gora Park Garden Walk: A Full-Day Course

This is a day for savoring Hakone Gora Park (箱根強羅公園), a park spread across a mountain slope at Gora, the terminus of the Hakone Tozan Railway. Paths wind through the grounds around a central fountain, letting you enjoy a three-dimensional stroll unique to sloped terrain while taking in seasonal flowers and trees. Admission is 650 yen for adults, free for elementary school age and under, and also free for Hakone Freepass holders, a pricing setup that's welcoming for families. The park is open 9:00-17:00 (last entry 16:30) from March to November. In the morning, stroll for free through Horai-en in Kowakidani, known as a fine garden for azaleas and autumn foliage, then ride the mountain train up to Gora and spend the afternoon relaxing at Gora Park, a day touring two of Hakone's gardens.
