2026 Full-Day Course: A Cool Stroll Through Kanagawa Prefectural Sagamiko Park
Spend a day enjoying the coolness of the lakeshore at Kanagawa Prefectural Sagamiko Park (県立相模湖公園) in Midori Ward, Sagamihara City. Sagamiko Park spreads along the shore of Lake Sagami (相模湖), and the breeze crossing the water, ringed by mountains, feels pleasant - even in September and October, when global warming keeps the heat lingering, the lakeside promenade is comfortable to walk. Along the shore, boarding points for sightseeing boats and pedal boats line up, so you can also enjoy cooling off out on the water. Admission is free, parking is available from 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM (until 6:00 PM from October to March), and there are restrooms, making it reassuring for families. In the morning, walk from Sagamiko Station (相模湖駅) to Yose Shrine (與瀬神社), long affectionately known as ‘Yose no Gongen-sama.’ From the top of the tree-lined stone steps, you can look out over Lake Sagami. This course lets you cool off on the green approach path first, then spend the hot afternoon hours relaxing by the lake.
