2026 Niijima Village Museum Starry Sky Full-Day Course

The Niijima Village Museum is about a 25-minute walk from Niijima Port. It is open from 9:00 to 17:00 (last admission 16:30) and closed on Mondays. It exhibits archaeological, historical, and cultural materials from Niijima and Shikinejima. Admission is about 300 yen for adults and about 150 yen for high school students and younger (group discounts available). The official website of the Niijima Village Tourist Information Center introduces it as one of the starry-sky areas where stars become visible at night due to minimal street lighting. Since the museum building is not accessible at night, observation takes place outdoors (in the parking lot or on the grounds).
