2026 Full-Day Course: Stargazing at Seki City Manabi Center
A day centered on the ‘Citizens' Astronomical Observation Session’ (市民天体観望会) held on the 3rd floor and rooftop of Wakakusa Plaza on Wakakusa-dori, Seki City. After a themed planetarium presentation (about 40 minutes), participants observe celestial objects through the rooftop telescope. No reservations — admission is first-come, first-served for the first 100 people, with reception starting 30 minutes before the start. Fees are 300 yen for adults (200 yen for groups of 20 or more), 150 yen for those 65 and older and high school students, and free for junior high school students and younger, and people with disabilities and their caregivers (if it rains, outdoor observation is cancelled but the planetarium show still runs, with the same fees). Event dates are set according to the annual projection calendar, so please check the Seki City official website for the latest schedule before you go. During the day, you can also stop by the Gifu Prefectural Museum (岐阜県博物館) in Koyana, Seki City, about 15 minutes away by car.
