2027 A Full Day Enjoying the Starry Sky at Yase-Hieizanguchi Station (八瀬比叡山口駅)

This day centers on the Eiden Starry Sky Observation Event (えいでん☆星空観望会) held at Yase-Hieizanguchi Station (八瀬比叡山口駅) in Sakyo Ward, Kyoto City. Eizan Electric Railway holds the event four times a year, and the session on Saturday, January 16, 2027, 18:00-20:00, will be held at the Station Terrace of Yase-Hieizanguchi Station (other sessions are held at Kurama Station, in front of Kurama-dera Temples mountain gate, and at Myoman-ji Temple). Participation is free (transportation, admission fees, etc. are at your own expense). For details such as whether reservations are required, please check with Eizan Electric Railway (TEL 075-702-8111, weekdays 9:00-17:00). In winter, the Eizan Cable Car and Ropeway are out of service (typically from early January to mid-March), so you cannot reach the summit of Mt. Hiei. Nearby is also Sanzen-in Temple (三千院) in Ohara (winter viewing hours December-February 9:00-16:30, admission 700 yen for adults).
