2026 Full-Day Starry Sky Course at the Gifu City Science Museum (岐阜市科学館)

This day centers on the 'Stargazing Meeting' (星を見る会), held in principle on the second Saturday of every month at the Gifu City Science Museum (岐阜市科学館) in Honjo, Gifu City. For fiscal year 2026, it runs from April 11 through March 13 of the following year; from October through February it is held from 18:00 to 19:30 (from April through September and in March, it runs 19:00 to 20:30). Admission is free with a capacity of 120 people; reservations are not possible. On the day, participation tickets are distributed from 9:30 a.m. until the start time, and distribution ends once capacity is reached (participation is not allowed after the start time). Since the Science Museum itself closes at 17:30, indoor access is not available before the event starts. During the day, you can ride the Gifu Kinkazan Ropeway (ぎふ金華山ロープウェー) from Gifu Park (岐阜公園) up to the summit of Mt. Kinka (round-trip fare 1,300 yen for adults; on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays in October and November it runs as a night service from 9:00 to 20:30, with the last ascent 30 minutes before closing).
