2026 Full-Day Starry Sky Course at Ibara City Starry Sky Park

This day centers on 'Ibara City Starry Sky Park' in Bisei-cho, Ibara City, Okayama Prefecture. Located at the 512m summit of Mt. Okura-Ryuo, it offers a distinctive 360-degree panorama stretching from the Seto Inland Sea to Mt. Daisen. Equipped with a 60cm telescope, it holds stargazing sessions led by staff from the Bisei Observatory about once a month — free of charge, reservation required (Bisei Observatory: 0866-87-4222). Normally only the parking lot is open and there are no restrooms, so please time your visit to coincide with a stargazing session. During the day, you can enjoy shopping at Hoshi-no-Sato Aozora Ichi (8:00-18:00, until 17:30 from November to April, closed Tuesdays).
