2026 Full-Day Course: Starry Skies at Okayama Astronomical Museum
This day centers on the 'Okayama Astronomical Museum' in Asakuchi City, Okayama Prefecture. The limited-access observation session using the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan's 188cm reflecting telescope costs 3,500 yen per person, is open to elementary school age and up (those in junior high school or younger must be accompanied by a guardian), and requires advance reservation (through the Asakuchi City Industrial Promotion Division). Session dates are irregular and are posted on the event list on the official website once decided, so please be sure to check and make a reservation in advance. Regular museum hours are 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM. During the day, you can enjoy views of the Seto Inland Sea from Yoshozan Observation Deck (elevation 405m, one of Japan's Top 100 Night Views) in the same Chikurinjiyama area.
