2026 Full-Day Starry Sky Course at Shirakawa-go Toyota Eco-Institute

A day centered on the overnight-guests-only program 'Waku Waku! Night Hike' held at the Toyota Shirakawa-go Eco-Institute in Shirakawa Village, Ono District, Gifu Prefecture. In autumn 2026 it runs on Saturdays from September 26 to November 28 (excluding the last day of a holiday long weekend), from 19:30 to 21:00. The fee is 2,800 yen for elementary school age and above, free for young children, and children of elementary school age or younger must be accompanied by a guardian. Reservations can be made by phone (05769-6-1187, accepted 9:00-18:00) or via the application form, with the application deadline being 17:00 on the day of the event. Since this is a guided walk through the grounds, free individual nighttime entry is not expected. During the day, you can take in a panoramic view of the gassho-zukuri village from the Shiroyama Tenshukaku Observatory (9:30-15:30, free admission), which is within walking distance, and strolling through the village itself (Ogimachi) is also free.
