2026 Kajigamori Observatory (梶ヶ森天文台) Starry Sky Full-Day Course
A day centered on the observatory attached to Hoshi no Sansou Kajigamori (星の山荘梶ヶ森), located near the 8th station of Mt. Kajigamori (梶ヶ森) in Sagayama, Otoyo Town, Nagaoka District, Kochi Prefecture. With no streetlights or building lights nearby, you can observe a sky full of stars in the clear air above 1,200m elevation. You can view Saturn, Jupiter, the lunar surface, and more with one of Shikokus largest reflecting telescopes. Hours are from 20:00 (observation time is roughly one hour); the day-visit observatory fee is 500 yen for adults, 300 yen for elementary school students, and free for children younger than elementary school age. Both the lodge and observatory close during winter (roughly mid-December to mid-March), so please avoid visiting during that period.
