2026 Full-Day Course: Stargazing at Kure City Kamagari Astronomical Observatory
A day centered on the regular observation session at the Kure City Kamagari Astronomical Observatory (呉市かまがり天体観測館), located within Kenmin-no-Hama (県民の浜) in Kamagari-cho, Kure City. The regular observation session is held every Saturday from 19:30 to 21:00 (closed Mondays, Tuesdays, and year-end/New Year holidays). Admission is 200 yen for adults and 100 yen for elementary and junior high school students, with parking for 100 cars (free). The facility is equipped with one of Japan's largest Maksutov telescopes (42 cm aperture) and is located on Kamikamagari Island, where there is little surrounding city light. During the day, you can stroll along the beach within the same grounds at Kenmin-no-Hama.
