2026 Full-Day Course: Asahiyama Zoo and Stargazing in Asahikawa

Asahiyama Zoo's winter opening period runs roughly from November to the end of December each year (opening hours vary by period, so please check the latest calendar on the official website). Asahikawa City Science Museum Cyparis's 'Stargazing Session' is held from 19:00 to 20:30 during winter (October-March), is free to attend, has a capacity of 50 people (by lottery), and requires advance online application (if you do not have internet access, you may also fill out a form at the science museum; phone applications are not accepted). The first half is a preliminary talk in the planetarium, and the second half is observation through the observatory's telescope. Since dates are announced on the official website, be sure to check the schedule and application deadline before you go.
