2026 Koshi City Nishi-Koshi Library Observatory Starry Sky: A Full-Day Course

Stargazing sessions at the Koshi City Nishi-Koshi Library Observatory (合志市西合志図書館天文台, 1661-265 Miyoshi, Koshi City, Kumamoto) are held on the first, second, and third Saturdays of each month. In winter (October-March) they run from 19:00 (admission accepted until 20:30). Admission is free and no reservation is required (groups should contact in advance). Sessions are cancelled in case of cloudy or rainy weather. The observatory entrance is separate from the library entrance (an outdoor staircase); if using the stairs is difficult, you can use the library elevator by contacting them in advance (available 19:00-20:00). Please check the official website for the latest schedule information.
