2026 Star Land Sakadani Starry Sky Full-Day Course

This day is about enjoying the starry sky at Star Land Sakadani (スターランドさかだに) in Minomichi, Ono City, Fukui Prefecture. It is a privately run facility just a few minutes' drive from the Minami-Rokuroshi area, certified as an International Dark Sky Reserve (R). The facility includes an auto campsite, a soba restaurant, and the starry-sky guide café 'Hoshi no Ito' (ほしのいと), and offers a permanent 'stargazing session' menu item. Seasonal events such as star and moon viewing and meteor shower observation are also held. There is parking for about 60 cars right in front of the facility entrance. Please contact the manager in advance to inquire about use and fees and to make a reservation (after contacting the manager, reservation procedures are completed at the Ono City Agriculture and Forestry Promotion Division). During the day, we recommend visiting Echizen Ono Castle (越前大野城), known as the 'Castle in the Sky' (October-November 9:00-16:00, 200 yen for adults, closed December-March), and Oshozu (御清水), one of Japan's 100 Best Springs (viewing and drawing water are free, and you can visit anytime).
