2027 Tengendai Highland Starry Sky Full-Day Course

A day centered on the summer-only “Tengendai Ropeway Night Cruising” at Tengendai Highland in Yonezawa City, Yamagata Prefecture. In 2026 it runs on a limited schedule of July 25, August 1, August 8, and August 15 (all Saturdays), when the ropeway's usual closing time of 5pm is extended to 9pm (last descent) just for these days. The fare is 2,800 yen for adults and 2,100 yen for elementary school students (2026 rates, including soft-serve ice cream etc., a stargazing guide, and insurance), and free for preschoolers. The stargazing session runs from 19:30 to 20:30 in the aerial garden, and will be canceled if there is rain, dense fog, thunder, or strong wind as of 5pm on the day. This event runs only on the specified dates - during regular ropeway operating hours (closing at 5pm), nighttime entry is not possible.
