2026 Full-Day Starry Sky Course at Terra Dome (テラ・ドーム)
This day centers on the observation sessions at the 'Nishiwaki Longitude-Latitude Earth Science Museum, Terra Dome' (にしわき経緯度地球科学館 テラ・ドーム), located at 'the Navel of Japan' — the intersection of 135°E longitude and 35°N latitude — in Nishiwaki City, Hyogo Prefecture. Observation sessions are held every Saturday and on the eve of consecutive holidays (also Thursdays and Fridays during summer vacation), from 19:30 to 21:00, at a cost of 200 yen per person (free for young children, 100 yen for those holding an admission ticket); advance reservation by phone is required. Star watching is conducted using an 81cm reflecting telescope. 'Nihon Heso Park' (日本へそ公園), where Terra Dome is located, has free admission and parking, plus 'Space Kids Land' (宇宙っ子ランド) with a jumbo slide and a lawn plaza. It is a 5-minute walk from JR Kakogawa Line's 'Nihon Heso Koen' Station.
