2026 Morioka City Childrens Science Museum Starry Sky One-Day Course

A day to enjoy the starry sky at the Morioka City Childrens Science Museum (盛岡市子ども科学館), nicknamed Tohoku Turbo Childrens Science Museum (東北ターボこども科学館), in Hongu, Morioka City, Iwate Prefecture. In addition to the planetarium, the outdoor stargazing event Hoshi wo Miru Kai (星を見る会) is held 9 times a year, and for fiscal 2026 it is scheduled for Saturday, October 17, from 18:30 to 19:30. Parking is free with space for 10 large buses and 110 regular cars, but advance application is required. Opening hours are 9:00 to 16:30 (last admission 16:00), closed on Mondays, the last Tuesday of each month, and the New Year holidays.
