2026 Full-Day Starry Sky Course at Joetsu Kiyosato Star Home Museum

A day centered on the nighttime stargazing sessions at the astronomical facility 'Joetsu Kiyosato Star Home Museum' (上越清里星のふるさと館), located at 482m elevation beside Lake Bogaike in Kiyosato Ward, Joetsu City, Niigata Prefecture. Stargazing sessions are held on Fridays from May to October, and on Saturdays and the days before public holidays from April to November, from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM (6:00 PM to 9:00 PM in October and November). They are cancelled in case of rain or overcast skies. During the day you can also enjoy the 4K digital planetarium; admission is 620 yen for adults and 410 yen for elementary/junior high school students when using the planetarium, or 460 yen for adults and 310 yen for elementary/junior high school students without it (free for children under elementary school age). Opening hours are 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM, closed on Tuesdays (the following day if a public holiday, open during summer vacation) and during the winter period from December 1 to March 31.
