2026 Polar Star Kamihayashi Stargazing: A Full-Day Course

This is a day centered on the stargazing event at 'Polar Star Kamihayashi (ポーラースター神林)', an astronomical observation facility inside Minami-Ohira Dam Lake Park in Murakami City, Niigata Prefecture. Stargazing events are mainly held on the 2nd and 4th Fridays from April to November (2nd and 3rd Fridays in August), from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm (7:30 pm to 9:30 pm from May to August). Admission is 100-300 yen for adults and 50-150 yen for children for city residents, and 300 yen for adults and 100 yen for children for visitors from outside the city (prices vary by season). There is no indoor lighting, and eating, drinking, and smoking are prohibited. The event is held rain or shine; an indoor astronomy class is held instead during severe weather.
