2027 One-Day Course: Stargazing at Zao Sumikawa Sky Camp

Sky Camp (天空キャンプ) at Mountain Field Miyagi Zao Sumikawa (マウンテンフィールド宮城蔵王すみかわ, Zao-machi, Miyagi Prefecture) is located at an elevation of 1,100m, according to the facility official blog, and is introduced as one of the highest-altitude campgrounds in Miyagi Prefecture. City lights do not reach here, making nights dark and well-suited for stargazing. In winter it operates as Sumikawa Snow Park, while in summer it runs as Kumowaku Terrace / Sky Camp (くもわくテラス・天空キャンプ), typically open on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays from late May to late October (open daily in mid-August and mid-September, per official facility information).
