2026 Full-Day Starry Sky Course at Otsu City Science Museum (大津市科学館)

This day centers on the starry-sky observation sessions at the Otsu City Science Museum (大津市科学館) in Honmaru-cho, Otsu City. In fiscal year Reiwa 8 (2026), sessions are held on Saturdays 7 times a year (May 16, September 5, October 17, November 14, December 12, January 9, and February 27), on an advance-application basis (via the Otsu City Online Application Service, with 60 spots on a first-come basis each time). The 1st and 2nd sessions are paid (500 yen for adults, 200 yen for elementary through high school students), but the 3rd session onward is free. Reception opens at 18:00, and the session runs 18:30-20:00. Even on cloudy or rainy days, a planetarium program and other explanations are held.
