2026 Full-Day Course: Starry Skies at the Yamaguchi Prefectural Yamaguchi Museum (山口県立山口博物館)

This is a day centered on the stargazing event held at the Yamaguchi Prefectural Yamaguchi Museum (山口県立山口博物館) in Yamaguchi City, Yamaguchi Prefecture (山口県山口市). Using the astronomical dome on the roof of the main building (5m in diameter, with a 20cm refracting telescope), events such as viewing Jupiter and Saturn are held more than five times a year. Attending the stargazing event itself is free, but it requires advance application (via an online form or return postcard), and a lottery is held if there are more applicants than spots. The regular admission fee (200 yen for adults, 130 yen for students) is only required if you want to view the exhibits.
