2027 Akita Prefectural General Education Center Starry Sky Full-Day Course
A day centered on the “Star Observation Class,” held every summer at the Akita Prefectural General Education Center in Katagami City, Akita Prefecture. It's an educational program using a planetarium (Konica Minolta's “Cosmoleap 8”) and a large refracting telescope, intended for young children (age 4 and up), elementary school students, junior high school students, and their guardians, with free admission. Only the planetarium learning session requires advance application (via Google Form, with an application period), while other activities such as astronomical telescope observation do not require application (the experiment corner is first-come, first-served for 20 groups). Since the event date and application period are announced at different times each year, please be sure to check the Akita Prefectural General Education Center's official website for the latest information before heading out. During the day, you can also stop by nearby Michi-no-Eki Tenno (Tenno Green Land).
