2026 Full-Day Stargazing Course at Doro Ecomuseum Center in Tenkawa Village (天川村洞川エコミュージアムセンター)

The Doro Ecomuseum Center (洞川エコミュージアムセンター) in Doro, Tenkawa Village, Nara Prefecture, is a facility themed around the nature, water, and mountain worship of Mt. Omine and Doro. The large lawn plaza outside the building is officially introduced as a stargazing spot. Opening hours are 10:00–17:00, closed Wednesdays (closed for winter from December 1 to March 31). Please check the official website or the Tenkawa Village Tourist Information Center (0747-63-0999) for the latest information on nighttime access to the lawn plaza and lighting conditions before you go. During the day, you can also stop by the famous Mitarai Valley (みたらい渓谷) waterfalls, within walking distance, and Ryusenji Temple (龍泉寺), the center of Mt. Omine’s mountain worship.
