2026 Nomi City Stargazing Event Starry Sky Full-Day Course
Nomi City holds a 'Stargazing Event' once a month on Saturdays (Wednesdays only in August), where you can observe planets, constellations, and the Andromeda Galaxy through an astronomical telescope. The venue is mainly the rooftop or parking lot of the Nemoto Learning Center (capacity 20), though some months feature a traveling session at a different venue within the city. In case of bad weather such as an approaching typhoon or heavy snow, the event is canceled, and cancellation notices are posted inside the Learning Center. For details on participation fees and what to bring, please contact the Nemoto Learning Center (0761-55-8560) in advance. The Children's Space Science Room (free admission) in the same building displays the meteorite (replica) that fell in Taisei-machi, Nomi City in 1995, along with the actual damaged vehicle. The planetarium's regular show is only at 15:00 on Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, costing 100 yen for elementary school students and up, with a capacity of 20.
