2026 Full-Day Course: Stargazing at Misato Observatory

The Star Tour NeXT at Misato Observatory (180 Matsugamine, Kimino Town, Kaiso District, Wakayama Prefecture) is by reservation only. It is held once at 19:30 on Thursdays and Sundays, and twice - at 19:30 and 20:30 - on Fridays and Saturdays; each session takes about 1 hour. The fee is 1,500 yen for general admission (1,000 yen from December to February), 200 yen for elementary, junior high, and high school students, and free for preschoolers. Entry is from 30 minutes before the start of your reserved session, and reception should be completed by 10 minutes before the start. After the tour ends, the gate closes for security reasons and visitors must leave. Those without a reservation, and everyone after closing time, may not enter the observatory grounds, including the parking lot. Closed days are generally Mondays and Tuesdays (postponed if a holiday falls on those days).
