Finishing with a Panoramic View from the Observation Deck
About this spot
A small island floating in Hiragata Bay that's developed into a park. Climb the 57-meter-high observation deck for views of Hakkeijima and Uminokouen Park you've walked, and on clear days, even Mount Fuji and the Boso Peninsula. The park also retains the thatched-roof building of the former Hiranuma Kiichiro Villa, making it the perfect ending to your walk.
Tips
About a 5-minute walk from Seaside Line Nojima Park Station. The observation deck involves climbing stairs, so a baby carrier comes in handy for small children. There's also an open space for children with extra energy.
Best time to visit
45 minutes required; the view just before sunset is exceptional.
